The basins are hand-darkened to a deep bronze before they leave the workshop, so the sink reads as an heirloom from the first day while the hammered apron stays warm and luminous. The contrast is deliberate - and it is done by hand, with heat and time, not with a sprayed coating that will chip.
Raised from 14-gauge solid copper. Never plated, never a veneer over steel. Copper is naturally antimicrobial and, unlacquered, it keeps moving - the dark interior will continue to deepen and the apron will follow it down over the years.

Care is the same as any of our copper: rinse, dry, no bleach, no abrasive cream. The darkened interior is chemically bonded rather than coated, so it cannot chip or peel, and normal use will only drive it deeper. If a patch ever lightens under heavy scouring, leave it alone and it will re-darken on its own within weeks.

Does Brassna brass change color over time?
Yes — and that is the point. Our unlacquered and natural finishes are living finishes: they develop a warm patina as they react to air, water, and the touch of daily life. The piece you install will deepen in character over the years, telling the story of your home. Prefer a fixed tone? Our lacquered finishes hold their original luster.
How do I care for my Brassna fixtures?
Gently — that is all it takes. Wipe with a soft cloth, warm water, and a drop of mild dish soap, then dry to prevent water spots. Avoid bleach, ammonia, and abrasive cleaners. No special kits required.
Can I keep the bright, golden shine?
Absolutely. To restore the original luster, polish gently with a quality brass polish or a natural lemon-and-baking-soda paste, then rinse and dry. Polishing simply resets the surface — the patina returns naturally over time. To slow the aging, a thin coat of carnauba wax or mineral oil helps.
Will every piece match perfectly?
Because each fixture is finished by hand, subtle variations in tone are natural — and intentional. Pieces in the same finish harmonize beautifully but are never machine-identical. Designers consider this the soul of handcrafted brass: it is what separates a Brassna bathroom from a mass-produced one.
Is it really solid brass — never plated?
Yes. Every Brassna fixture is solid, heavy-gauge brass throughout — never plated over cheaper metal. Plating chips, flakes, and peels; solid brass ages gracefully and lasts for generations. Our bathtubs are crafted from solid copper for the same reason.
