Crafted from solid-gauge brass — hand-hammered to a thickness that rings true. Pick it up and you’ll know the difference.
The basin, the apron, the turned legs and the stretcher are all solid brass, brazed and finished by hand - no plated steel tube, no hollow castings filled with resin. The legs are turned on a lathe from solid bar, which is why they carry the weight of a full basin without a tremor and why the profile is crisp rather than soft.
A tempered glass shelf spans the lower stretcher for towels. The exposed plumbing is meant to be seen, so specify brass trap and supplies and let the whole thing read as one object.
Never plated. Unlacquered, so the entire piece - basin, legs, stretcher - will patina together into a single warm tone over the first year rather than aging at different rates.

Installation is floor-standing with a wall brace for stability; the supplied template locates both. Allow for exposed brass trap and supplies - chrome plumbing under a brass washstand undoes the whole piece. Avoid bleach entirely.

Does Brassna brass change color over time?
Yes — and that is the point. Our unlacquered and natural finishes are living finishes: they develop a warm patina as they react to air, water, and the touch of daily life. The piece you install will deepen in character over the years, telling the story of your home. Prefer a fixed tone? Our lacquered finishes hold their original luster.
How do I care for my Brassna fixtures?
Gently — that is all it takes. Wipe with a soft cloth, warm water, and a drop of mild dish soap, then dry to prevent water spots. Avoid bleach, ammonia, and abrasive cleaners. No special kits required.
Can I keep the bright, golden shine?
Absolutely. To restore the original luster, polish gently with a quality brass polish or a natural lemon-and-baking-soda paste, then rinse and dry. Polishing simply resets the surface — the patina returns naturally over time. To slow the aging, a thin coat of carnauba wax or mineral oil helps.
Will every piece match perfectly?
Because each fixture is finished by hand, subtle variations in tone are natural — and intentional. Pieces in the same finish harmonize beautifully but are never machine-identical. Is it really solid brass — never plated?
Yes. Every Brassna fixture is solid, heavy-gauge brass throughout — never plated over cheaper metal. Plating chips, flakes, and peels; solid brass ages gracefully and lasts for generations. Our bathtubs are crafted from solid copper for the same reason.
