The floral relief is chased into the copper from the back, then refined from the front - a technique called repousse that predates the country most of these sinks ship to. It cannot be stamped, it cannot be rushed, and it is the reason this piece looks less like a fixture and more like the front of an old armoire.
Raised from 14-gauge solid copper, never plated. The recesses of the pattern will hold patina faster than the raised surfaces, so the design deepens and becomes more legible with age rather than wearing away. Copper is naturally antimicrobial.

Does Brassna brass change color over time?
Yes — and that is the point. Our unlacquered and natural finishes are living finishes: they develop a warm patina as they react to air, water, and the touch of daily life. The piece you install will deepen in character over the years, telling the story of your home. Prefer a fixed tone? Our lacquered finishes hold their original luster.
How do I care for my Brassna fixtures?
Gently — that is all it takes. Wipe with a soft cloth, warm water, and a drop of mild dish soap, then dry to prevent water spots. Avoid bleach, ammonia, and abrasive cleaners. No special kits required.
Can I keep the bright, golden shine?
Absolutely. To restore the original luster, polish gently with a quality brass polish or a natural lemon-and-baking-soda paste, then rinse and dry. Polishing simply resets the surface — the patina returns naturally over time. To slow the aging, a thin coat of carnauba wax or mineral oil helps.
Will every piece match perfectly?
